NEON SYBER SAMURAI
2D retrowave beat'em all
Context – 4 days workshop as part of the Vocational Degree in Game Design / Level Design (December 2018).
Goal – Create a Proof of Concept (POC) as a team of 5 with the given theme : “Tribute to arcade games”.
Roles – Game designer, Gameplay and UI developer.
Neon Syber Samurai is a 2D side-scrolling beat’em all mixing retrowave ambiance and japanese environments (both traditional and modern).
You place as a Syber Samurai fighting against her very demons.
You’ve got three special attacks, each associated to a particular color.
When in the light of a colored neon, the power of the correspond attack is amplified ! The game is all about using this to your advantage.
