BEHIND THE SCENES
Narrative 2D Puzzle-Platformer
Context – Final Major Project, Vocational Degree in Game Design / Level Design (January- March 2018).
Goal – Create a video game in a team of 6 from the theme “Behind the looks”, link the intention, narrative and gameplay.
Roles – Developer, game designer and compositor.
Behind The Scenes is a 2D narrative puzzle-platformer for PC.
The game is set in a shadow theater play with a Tim burton inspired universe.
The game works on a veil mechanic on which shadows are projected. When the veil is up, you play as a puppet in the background, when the veil is down, you play as the puppet’s shadow.
The goal is to solve puzzles by switching between the two planes, background and shadows, each bearing specific properties !
